Applying machine learning to storage operations
Md is the Lead Data Scientist at modSTORAGE and an Operations Research and Information Engineering student at Cornell University (Class of 2028). His work centers on applying machine learning to storage operations, including dynamic pricing, occupancy forecasting, and delinquency prediction, along with the data pipelines and competitive research that make those models possible.
He came to the field through mathematics, then moved toward machine learning and data science because he believes companies that don't adopt the technology will be left behind within the decade.
Before modSTORAGE, he worked with two departments at Cornell. In one, he built statistically grounded metrics to classify nutrition deficits across New York State, work used to optimize food transportation routes. In the other, he led a team that developed a linear programming model to automate and optimize teaching assistant hiring within his department.

Building machine learning models that translate demand signals, competitive rates, and inventory into prices that capture revenue others leave on the table.
Occupancy forecasting
Predicting move-ins, move-outs, and seasonal pressure so facilities can plan promotions, staffing, and capacity before the trend is visible.
Delinquency prediction
Identifying at-risk accounts early so operations can intervene with the right touchpoints instead of reactive collections.
Data pipelines and competitive research
Designing reliable ingestion, validation, and monitoring for the data that feeds models, plus the competitive intelligence that keeps them grounded in market reality.
